I think most guitarists can agree that the most frightening audiences we’ve ever faced is a room full of kids! tonebase Instructor Joseph Palmer has embraced this, with his work through the renowned Austin Classical Guitar Society (ACG).

After performing over 100 concerts for kids all over Austin within one year, Joseph was appointed head of Performance Engagement at ACG.

With all his experience, Joseph explains, it’s not just about playing faster and louder (which he can undoubtably do!) but more about engaging and connecting with the audience. This is especially true when it comes to children who often have shorter attention spans than the average audience.

You can hear Joseph’s discuss his philanthropic work, bringing the love of music to so many children, and more in this interview with Matt Hinsley from ACG!
